According to the theory of relativity, the speed of light is the fastest speed at which any object can travel, and it is considered a fundamental constant of the universe. Therefore, it is not possible to travel faster than the speed of light.

This effect is known as time dilation, where time appears to slow down for objects moving at high speeds. The closer an object gets to the speed of light, the more time appears to slow down. Therefore, traveling faster than the speed of light would require an infinite amount of energy.
