Does the Vizio M8 support eARC?
Yes, the Vizio M8 supports eARC. eARC stands for enhanced Audio Return Channel and it allows for higher quality audio to be passed from a TV to a soundbar or receiver via an HDMI cable.
eARC is an improvement over the older Audio Return Channel (ARC) which only supported basic audio formats like PCM, Dolby Digital, and DTS. With eARC, the Vizio M8 is capable of supporting higher quality formats like Dolby Atmos and DTS:X.
To take advantage of eARC, you will need a soundbar or receiver that also supports eARC. You will also need to connect the soundbar or receiver to the eARC HDMI port on the TV.
