How do I add a new calendar event on my Apple Watch?
Directly creating a new calendar event on the Apple Watch is not supported. However, you can use Siri on your Apple Watch to add an event to your calendar. Here's how:
- Activate Siri: Raise your wrist and say 'Hey Siri,' or press and hold the Digital Crown on the side of your Apple Watch.
- Speak your event details: Clearly state the details of your event, such as the event name, date, and time. For example, you could say, 'Hey Siri, create an event called 'Dentist Appointment' on March 20th at 2 PM.'
- Confirm the event: Siri will display the event details on your Apple Watch screen. Review the information, and if everything looks correct, confirm the event by saying 'Yes' or tapping 'Confirm' on your Apple Watch screen.
Once you have added the event using Siri, it will be synced with the Calendar app on your iPhone and other Apple devices connected to the same iCloud account. To view and manage your calendar events directly, you will need to use the Calendar app on your iPhone or another Apple device.
There are a few ways to add a new calendar event on your Apple Watch.
- Use Siri
You can use Siri to create a new event by saying something like "Hey Siri, create a calendar event titled 'Doctor's appointment' for next Tuesday at 10am." Siri will then ask you to confirm the details of the event, such as the location and invitees.
- Use the Calendar app
You can also create a new event by opening the Calendar app on your Apple Watch and tapping the + button in the top right corner. This will open a new event window where you can enter the details of your event.
- Use the Glances screen
You can also add a new event from the Glances screen on your Apple Watch. To do this, swipe up from the bottom of the watch face to open the Glances screen, and then tap the Calendar Glance. From here, you can tap the + button in the top right corner to create a new event.
- Use the Voice Memos app
You can also create a new event by using the Voice Memos app on your Apple Watch. To do this, open the Voice Memos app and tap the + button in the top right corner. This will start a new voice memo, and you can then say something like "Create a calendar event titled 'Meeting with John' for tomorrow at 2pm." Siri will then ask you to confirm the details of the event, such as the location and invitees.
- Use the Shortcuts app
You can also create a new event by using the Shortcuts app on your iPhone. To do this, open the Shortcuts app and tap the + button in the top right corner. Then, tap the Gallery tab and search for "Create calendar event." Tap the Create Calendar Event shortcut and then customize the shortcut to your liking. Once you're done, tap the Add to Watch button. Now, you can open the Shortcuts app on your Apple Watch and tap the Create Calendar Event shortcut to create a new event.
Whichever method you choose, you'll be able to create a new calendar event on your Apple Watch in just a few taps.
