To force quit an application on a Mac, follow these steps:

  1. Press the Command + Option + Esc keys on your keyboard. This will open the Force Quit Applications window.
  2. Select the application you want to quit from the list.
  3. Click the Force Quit button.

This will immediately quit the selected application. If the application is unresponsive or frozen, force quitting is a good way to get it closed without having to restart your computer.
