How do tadpoles turn into frogs?

Metamorphosis is a process that amphibians, like frogs, go through during their life cycle. The transformation from a tadpole to a frog is a remarkable metamorphosis that includes significant changes in the body of the animal.

When a tadpole hatches from an egg, it has a long, finned tail and no limbs. It breathes through gills and swims around in water. As the tadpole grows and develops into a frog, it will also change its diet. Once the metamorphosis is complete, the frog will leave the water and live on land, and continue to grow and develop into an adult frog.
