The refrigerant is compressed by the compressor and converted into a high-pressure, high-temperature gas, which is then passed through the condenser. The condenser dissipates the heat from the refrigerant to the outside air, allowing it to condense into a high-pressure liquid.
The liquid refrigerant then passes through an expansion valve, which causes it to expand and cool rapidly, turning it into a low-pressure, low-temperature gas. This gas is then passed through the evaporator, where it absorbs heat and moisture from the indoor air, effectively cooling and dehumidifying it.
The cooled and dehumidified air is then circulated back into the room through the supply ducts, while the warm, moist air is expelled through the return ducts and released outside.
