As of my knowledge cutoff in September 2021, the Tendürek Mountain range, located in the eastern part of Turkey, is considered to be an active volcanic area. However, there has been no recent reported volcanic activity in the region.

The last recorded volcanic activity in the area dates back to the Holocene epoch, which is estimated to have occurred between 2,600 and 11,700 years ago. At that time, there were small phreatic eruptions (steam-driven explosions caused by magma interacting with groundwater) that produced small craters and cones.

Currently, the Tendürek Mountain range is closely monitored by the Turkish government and scientific organizations, such as the Kandilli Observatory and Earthquake Research Institute, to detect any changes in volcanic activity. The area is also prone to earthquakes, which can trigger volcanic eruptions. Therefore, it is important to monitor the region's seismic and volcanic activity.
