What is the fee for overweight checked baggage on my WestJet flight to Mexico?
If you are flying with WestJet to Mexico, the fee for overweight checked baggage will depend on the weight of your bag and your destination.
For flights to and from Mexico, overweight baggage fees are charged for bags that weigh between 51-100 pounds (23-45 kg). The fee is CAD 75 (or equivalent in other currency) per bag, in addition to any other applicable fees, taxes and charges.
If your bag weighs more than 100 pounds (45 kg), it will not be accepted as checked baggage and must be shipped as cargo.
