What is the format of the IOI competition?
The International Olympiad in Informatics (IOI) is an annual programming competition for high school students around the world. The competition consists of several rounds, each designed to test the students' programming skills and algorithmic thinking abilities.
The IOI competition is usually held over two consecutive days, with each day consisting of two sessions. During each session, the participants are given a set of algorithmic problems to solve within a time limit of about five hours. The problems are designed to test the students' ability to design efficient algorithms, implement them correctly, and analyze their performance.
Each problem is graded on a scale of 0 to 100 points, and the total score of each participant is calculated as the sum of their scores in each problem. The winner of the competition is the participant with the highest total score.
