It is worth noting that Kami Rita Sherpa's record-breaking climb is considered controversial by some in the mountaineering community. This is because his climb did not follow the traditional route and instead, he used a helicopter to transport him to Camp II, which is located at an altitude of 6,400 meters (21,000 ft). From there, he climbed to the summit of Mount Everest, which is located at an altitude of 8,848 meters (29,029 ft).
