The historic church in Selkirk, Manitoba is the St. Clements Anglican Church. This church was built in 1854 and is the oldest stone church in Western Canada. It is located on River Road in Selkirk and overlooks the Red River. The church was designated a National Historic Site of Canada in 1970.

St. Clements Anglican Church is known for being the location where Henry Budd, the first Indigenous Anglican priest in Canada, was ordained in 1850. Budd was a Cree from Norway House and worked as a missionary for the Church Missionary Society. He became a deacon in 1849 and was ordained a priest on December 22, 1850, at St. Clements Anglican Church. He later founded a mission at Cross Lake, Manitoba, and was instrumental in translating the Bible and the Book of Common Prayer into the Cree language.
