While beer is the most popular alcoholic beverage in the US, wine and spirits also have significant followings. Wine accounted for approximately 19% of alcohol consumption, while spirits accounted for 31%. Other types of alcoholic beverages, such as hard seltzers and flavored malt beverages, have gained popularity in recent years but are still a relatively small portion of overall alcohol consumption.
