What is the most consumed meat worldwide?
As per a report by the Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD) and the Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO) of the United Nations, the most consumed meat worldwide is pork.
According to the report, pork meat accounts for 36% of the total meat consumed globally, followed by poultry meat at 35%, beef and buffalo meat at 22%, and sheep and goat meat at 7%. Pork meat is a staple food in many countries, including China, which is the world's largest consumer of pork meat.
The report also states that global meat consumption has increased rapidly over the past few decades and is projected to continue growing in the coming years. Factors such as population growth, rising incomes, and urbanization have contributed to the increase in meat consumption.
