Once in North Carolina, the train stops at several cities, including Rocky Mount, Raleigh, Cary, Durham, and Greensboro, before arriving at its final destination, Charlotte.
The Carolinian covers a distance of approximately 704 miles (1,131 kilometers) and takes around 12 hours to complete its full route. The train runs once daily in each direction.
