What was the name of the gunman who killed four Marines and a Navy sailor in Chattanooga, Tennessee?
On July 16, 2015, a gunman opened fire at two military installations in Chattanooga, Tennessee, killing four Marines and a Navy sailor. The gunman, who was later identified as 24-year-old Muhammad Youssef Abdulazeez, was also killed during the attack.
Abdulazeez, a naturalized U.S. citizen who was born in Kuwait, had been struggling with depression, drug abuse, and financial problems in the months leading up to the shooting.
