Who are the Cybermen, and how are they different from the Daleks?
The Cybermen are a fictional race of cyborgs from the long-running British science fiction television series, Doctor Who. They were first introduced in 1966 and have since become one of the Doctor's most iconic foes. Cybermen were originally humanoids from the planet Mondas, who had replaced their failing body parts with cybernetic implants, in order to survive. Later, it was revealed that there were several different versions of the Cybermen, including alternate universe versions, as well as a group that originated from a parallel Earth. The Cybermen are known for their catchphrase 'Delete!', and their ability to convert other beings into Cybermen.
The Daleks, on the other hand, are another iconic enemy of the Doctor, also introduced in 1963. They are a race of mutant creatures that inhabit armored, tank-like machines. Daleks were created by a scientist named Davros, who created them to be the ultimate race. They are known for their signature catchphrase, 'Exterminate!', and their belief in their own superiority over all other forms of life.
While both the Cybermen and the Daleks are popular and feared foes of the Doctor, they are quite different from each other. The Cybermen are more humanoid in appearance and are driven by their desire to survive and upgrade, while the Daleks are mutants encased in armored machines, driven by their belief in their own superiority and their desire to exterminate all other forms of life.
