Basketball is not traditionally a popular sport in the Middle East, so there are not many Middle Eastern basketball players who have achieved significant success at the international level. However, there have been some notable players who have made their mark.
One of the most successful Middle Eastern basketball players is Hamed Haddadi from Iran. Haddadi has represented Iran in the Olympics and the FIBA World Cup, and has also played in the NBA for the Memphis Grizzlies and the Phoenix Suns.
