Who is Gimli?

Gimli is a fictional character from J.R.R. Tolkien's Middle-earth universe. He is a dwarf, and a member of the Fellowship of the Ring, the group of nine individuals who set out to destroy the One Ring and defeat the dark lord Sauron.

Gimli is portrayed as a fierce warrior with a deep loyalty to his friends, especially the elf Legolas, with whom he shares a contentious yet respectful relationship.
