Can I bring my own alcohol on board the Amtrak Empire Service?
Passengers are allowed to bring their own alcohol on board the Amtrak Empire Service, but there are some restrictions to keep in mind. Alcoholic beverages are limited to one six-pack of beer or one bottle of wine per person. Hard liquor is not allowed on board. Any alcohol brought on board must be consumed in the passenger's private sleeping car or in their private lounge area, if available.
Passengers are not allowed to consume their own alcohol in any of the public areas of the train, including the cafe car, dining car, or lounge car. Passengers must also be at least 21 years old to consume alcohol on board the train. Amtrak reserves the right to refuse service or remove any passenger who violates these rules or becomes intoxicated on board the train.
