Does the full moon affect human behavior?
For centuries, people have been associating full moons with strange behavior and events. From werewolves and witches to mental health and crime rates, the full moon has been the subject of many myths and legends.
However, despite these popular beliefs, scientific studies have failed to find any conclusive evidence linking the full moon to human behavior.
One of the earliest and most well-known studies was conducted in the 1980s, which analyzed the behavior of patients in a mental hospital over a period of several months. The researchers found no correlation between the full moon and any increase in aggression or violence.
Similarly, a more recent study published in the Journal of Affective Disorders in 2018 analyzed the sleep patterns of participants over the course of a lunar cycle. The results showed no significant differences in sleep quality or duration between the full moon and other phases of the moon.
While some people may still believe that the full moon has an effect on human behavior, there is currently no scientific evidence to support this claim.
