How can I recover a deleted file in Microsoft OneDrive?
If you accidentally delete a file in Microsoft OneDrive, don’t worry. There are several ways to recover it:
- Check the Recycle Bin: Deleted files are sent to the Recycle Bin. To recover them, open the Recycle Bin, select the files you want to restore and click on ‘Restore’.
- Check the version history: If you have version history enabled, you can easily restore a previous version of the file. To do this, right-click on the file and select ‘Version history’. Select the version you want to restore and click on ‘Restore’.
- Use the OneDrive website: You can also recover deleted files using the OneDrive website. Log in to your account, click ‘Recycle bin’ and select the files you want to restore. Click on ‘Restore’.
It’s important to note that items in the Recycle Bin are automatically deleted after 30 days, and version history is available for up to 30 days (or longer depending on your plan). If the file was permanently deleted, it may not be possible to recover it.
