What is space?
Space is the vast, three-dimensional expanse that exists beyond the Earth and its immediate environment. It refers to the entire universe beyond our planet and its atmosphere comprising numerous galaxies, stars, planets, asteroids, comets, black holes, and other celestial bodies.
Space is not just an empty void but is filled with various forms of energy that interact and fluctuate. It contains electromagnetic radiation like light, cosmic rays, and other subatomic particles.
While space is mostly a vacuum, it is not entirely empty. There are sparse concentrations of interstellar matter which mainly consist of gas and dust. These concentrations also give birth to the formation of new stars and galaxies.
Scientists have been studying space for many years now and have learned a great deal about its mysteries. Space is still one of the most explored but least understood places in the universe.
