What is the baggage allowance for the VIA Rail Canada train from Toronto to Vancouver?
Passengers travelling on the VIA Rail Canada train from Toronto to Vancouver are permitted to bring a maximum of two carry-on items and two checked items.
Carry-on items must be small enough to fit in the overhead luggage racks or under your seat. The maximum dimensions allowed for a carry-on item are 55 cm x 40 cm x 23 cm (21.5 in x 15.5 in x 9 in), and the maximum weight is 10 kg (22 lb).
Checked baggage must not exceed the following dimensions: 158 cm (62 in) for the sum of the three dimensions (length, height and width) and the weight must not exceed 23 kg (50 lb) per item.
If you wish to bring additional luggage beyond the maximum allowance, you will need to pay an excess baggage fee.
The baggage allowance for the VIA Rail Canada train from Toronto to Vancouver is as follows:

A baby (up to age 2) without an assigned seat (sitting on their parent's lap) is only entitled to the carry-on baggage allowance, while an infant with a seat is entitled to the checked baggage allowance.
