The baggage policy for the Amtrak Pacific Surfliner allows passengers to bring up to two carry-on bags and two personal items onboard at no extra charge. The carry-on bags must not exceed the dimensions of 28 x 22 x 14 inches and should be stowed in the overhead racks or under the seat. Personal items such as purses, laptops, and backpacks should be placed under the seat in front of the passenger.
Passengers can also bring up to four checked bags with a maximum weight of 50 pounds each for a fee. Additional fees will apply for oversized and overweight bags. It is recommended that passengers arrive at least 45 minutes prior to departure to allow time for baggage check-in.
