What is the Fellowship of the Ring?
The Fellowship of the Ring is a fictional group of characters in J.R.R. Tolkien's epic high-fantasy novel, The Lord of the Rings, and its subsequent film adaptation directed by Peter Jackson. The fellowship is formed in order to destroy the One Ring, an ancient artifact of great evil created by the dark lord Sauron. The fellowship is made up of nine members representing different free peoples of Middle-earth, including four hobbits, two men, a dwarf, an elf, and a wizard.
The members of the Fellowship of the Ring are:
- Frodo Baggins, a hobbit from the Shire, who is the Ring-bearer tasked with destroying the One Ring.

- Legolas, an elf from Mirkwood who joins the fellowship to aid in the destruction of the One Ring.
- Gandalf, a powerful wizard who leads the fellowship and guides them on their journey.
