What is the hammada?
The hammada is a type of desert landscape that is characterized by rocky plateaus, sparse vegetation, and arid conditions. It is a type of desert terrain that is commonly found in the Sahara Desert in North Africa, as well as in other arid regions of the world.
Unlike sandy deserts, hammadas consist of rocky terrain that absorbs heat during the day and releases it at night, making the temperature fluctuations more extreme. In addition, the lack of vegetation in hammadas makes these regions more prone to erosion and desertification.
