Colorado State University-Pueblo is the main university in Pueblo, Colorado. Formerly known as the University of Southern Colorado, the school is a public institution and a member of the Colorado State University System.
The university was founded in 1933 as Southern Colorado Junior College and became the University of Southern Colorado in 1975. In 2003, the school joined the Colorado State University System and was renamed Colorado State University-Pueblo.
Colorado State University-Pueblo offers more than 30 undergraduate and graduate programs in a variety of fields, including business, education, engineering, nursing, and social work. The university is also known for its Hasan School of Business and its School of Nursing, both of which have received national recognition for their quality programs.
