What is the most popular Guinness World Record, and how many people have attempted to break it?
The Guinness World Records has a variety of records in their collection, ranging from the bizarre to the impressive. The most popular record, however, is for the most people simultaneously popping bubble wrap.
The record was set on January 31, 2016, by 942 participants at an event organized by the Virginia Science Museum. The participants popped a total of 176,938 square feet (16,425.73 square meters) of bubble wrap for two minutes.
Since then, many attempts have been made to break the record, with some even using larger sheets of bubble wrap. However, as of now, no attempt has been successful in breaking the current record.
