To enter the current time into a cell in Excel using the CTRL + SHIFT + : shortcut, follow the steps below:

  1. Select the cell where you want to enter the time.
  2. Press and hold the CTRL key on your keyboard.
  3. While still holding the CTRL key, press and hold the SHIFT key.
