How was the universe formed?
The universe is estimated to be around 13.8 billion years old, but how it was formed still remains a mystery to scientists. According to the widely accepted Big Bang theory, the universe began as a hot, dense and infinitely small point called a singularity. This singularity started expanding and cooling, eventually forming atoms, stars, galaxies, and ultimately the universe we know today.
While the Big Bang theory is the prevailing theory for the formation of the universe, there are other theories that offer alternative explanations. Some scientists propose that the universe was formed in a cyclic pattern of big bangs and big crunches, while others suggest that the universe has always existed in some form.
Regardless of the exact details of how the universe was formed, scientists continue to study and explore the universe to gain a better understanding of its origins and evolution.
