What is the Return of the King?
The Return of the King is the third and final installment in J.R.R. Tolkien's The Lord of the Rings trilogy. The book was published in 1955 and the movie adaptation was released in 2003. The story follows the journey of hobbit Frodo Baggins and his companion Samwise Gamgee as they try to destroy the One Ring, which has the power to control all other rings and would enable the evil Sauron to conquer Middle-earth.
